    Pastor

    Hello, my name is Glynn and I am the Pastor of Grace Covenant Church. I have lived in the Kannapolis area most of my life. I came to Christ at an early age in the very church I now serve. 


    My wife Catrina and I have been married for 31 years. We live in China Grove and have three children and two grandchildren. We find great joy in our family. In addition to spending time with them, I enjoy cooking, gardening and hunting/shooting. I also enjoy good music. I have a hard time doing anything without something playing in the background. I am honored to serve God and His people at Grace Covenant Church. 


    Our heart at Grace Covenant is to lead people into a growing relationship with God through Jesus Christ. We believe God has good plans for all of us. We would love to partner with you and help see those plans fulfilled. 

  • GLYNN WEATHERBY, JR. 

    Associate Pastor

    Hi, my name is Glynn (yes, we have the same name). I am the Associate Pastor at Grace Covenant Church. My wife Barbara and I were appointed to Grace Covenant Church in 1978. I was raised in the home of a Church of God pastor, however I did not fully commit my life to Christ until my last year of college. I transitioned into pastoral ministry from a business career where I practiced as a CPA and owned and operated various businesses. Initially I served as an assisting minister to our founding Pastors Guy and Eva Brafford. In 1988 I was appointed as our Lead Pastor. I served as lead pastor for 28 years. 


    Barbara and I have two children and enjoy our six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. I am an avid NFL fan and try not to miss a game if possible. My favorite team is who ever is winning that year! It's my priviledge to serve God and His church at Grace Covenant.

    Worship and Children's Pastor

    Hello, my name is Alexandria Overcash. I am the Worship and Children's Pastor at Grace Covenant Church.


    In May of 2021, I graduated from the Liberty University School of Music with a Bachelor of Science in Music and Worship. I have a passion for leading others to Christ through worship. I also love children. I enjoy teaching children God's word in Champions for Christ and I enjoy teaching children at Grace Covenant Preschool. 


    August 7th, 2021 I married my husband, Bryson.  We recently welcomed our first child into the world, Kennedy Faith.  We  live in Salisbury.  I enjoy spending my time with family, listening to music, cooking, and decorating my home.

    GCCA Head of school

    Hello my name is Catrina.  I serve as the Head of School for Grace Covenant Christian Academy and assist my husband pastoring Grace Covenant.  I have a professional background in nursing (28 years, BSN, MHA) but my heart has always been for teaching children about Jesus.  


    In addition to directing our Academy, I lead our Children's Summer Camp program, coordinate church events, and lead our women's ministry, Women of Grace.
